American Bulldogs are stout, muscular dogs with block-shaped head that are originally bred for protecting properties and catching livestock. They can be threat to smaller animals like cats, rabbits, and gerbils, but when trained properly as early as they were a puppy, they can go along with and live in the same environment. It is very important to socialize them with many people and different animals to allow them to distinguish who are enemies and who are not. Not
everyone is capable of handling American Bulldogs. It requires endurance,
strength, and patience on the part of the owner in order to cope with the dog’s
extreme energy, activeness, and playfulness. Better start American Bulldog
Training while the dogs are young so that they are still easy to manage and
control. They need a lot of stimulation and encouragement during the training,
thus, giving them rewards or treats can be a great motivation for them to
follow your every command. If you have no time to actively train or play with them, you can give your dogs various toys that they can chew and play to keep them content and interested. Remember that training time will be your bonding moment with your dog. This is the perfect time to communicate and understand each other. You will be able to know your dog’s behavior and be able to know how to control them step by step. Show them your love and care and in return they will give you loyalty, devotion and protection. |
